Curriculum Specialist (K-12 Literacy) – California Req #2200 • California, USA Location: California and Hawaii; candidate must reside in California and be available for on‑site meetings and up to 60% travel within California and Hawaii. Primary Responsibility Achieve revenue targets and exceed team sales quota in California and Hawaii. Develop and deliver compelling presentations covering all six customer touch points: Exhibits and Conferences; Pre‑work and Professional Learning Workshops; Meetings and Campaigns; Sales Presentations; Curriculum Pilot Trainings; Curriculum Program Activations. Build and maintain relationships with sales teams and key K‑12 decision makers. Partner directly with sales teams and product management to advance Savvas Literacy products, services, and solutions. Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge through certification and training to fully support the sales cycle. Demonstrate deep knowledge of Savvas Learning Company’s Literacy print and digital solutions. Provide Product Activation training for new and existing customer accounts and offer professional learning workshops to districts and conferences. Gather and relay customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams to enhance offerings and strategies. Collaborate with Savvas teams (sales, services, product management) to ensure alignment, support, and resolution of customer satisfaction issues, ensuring overall customer success. Deliver high levels of customer service consistently to foster satisfaction and loyalty. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities 5+ years of Ed‑Tech experience, demonstrating expertise in utilizing and presenting digital solutions. Expert knowledge of education theory and K‑12 Literacy market trends. Deep passion for learning in K‑12 education. Expert presenter able to deliver engaging, informative sales presentations and product orientations to large and small groups. Highly skilled in persuasion, argumentation, and influencing K‑12 Literacy stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to relate to all levels of K‑12 employees. Ability to conduct focused conversations with school district experts on content areas. Proficiency with presentation software and hardware (PC or Mac, whiteboard technology, 1:1 devices) for virtual and in‑person multimedia presentations. Fast grasp and presentation of Savvas technology solutions, comfortable with technology. Understanding of sales campaign strategy, market trends, and the full continuum of Savvas Learning Company services. Collaborative mindset; flexible, team‑oriented partner sharing responsibilities. Self‑starter with proactive attitude, independent work and project management from inception to completion. Exceptional organizational skills for managing time, communicating effectively, and organizing physical and digital materials. Additional Job Requirements 60% travel within California and Hawaii; occasional travel to other territories; significant travel possible. High‑volume work handling multiple priorities simultaneously in a demanding environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Monitoring and controlling timekeeping and expenses per company policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or advanced training preferred. 5+ years of K‑12 education experience, including classroom teaching. Experience selling and servicing in the education market required. Experience networking with high‑level district administrators and decision makers. Experience in public speaking and creating engaging presentations for diverse audiences. Specialty training or advanced certification preferred. Proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required. Other duties may be assigned by management as needed.
