Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our thriving construction company. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self‑starter with a keen eye for detail, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing construction projects within budget and on schedule. This role requires a candidate with 5+ years of experience in the construction industry and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the construction project. Participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for construction projects, providing conceptual estimates, scheduling, and budgeting information. Oversee the submittal process to ensure timely approvals and construction progress. Manage RFI responses and maintain a comprehensive log of all queries and responses. Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Implement an effective communication plan and operating rhythm, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing with key stakeholders. Conduct project review meetings and provide detailed updates to the Project Manager about project progress, potential risks, and mitigation plans. Ensure project adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables to ensure all meet required standards. Identify, track, manage and resolve project issues. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on project management. In‑depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles. Excellent knowledge and experience in handling RFI responses and managing the submittal process. Proven expertise in project scheduling and time management. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in using project management software and tools. Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential risks and devise effective solutions.
