SHOP WORKER
Air Compressor & Industrial Equipment Shop — Maywood, Illinois
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Worker to join our team in Maywood, Illinois. This is a hands-on position working with air compressors, industrial equipment, parts, and general shop duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with servicing and repairing air compressors and related equipment
- Clean, organize, and prepare equipment and parts
- Load and unload equipment and parts
- Assist with compressor tear-downs and rebuilds
- Perform basic maintenance and shop work
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
- Help receive, identify, and organize incoming parts
- Follow instructions from shop mechanics and management
- Perform other general shop duties as needed
Qualifications
- Mechanical or shop experience preferred but not required
- Must be dependable and have a good work ethic
- Must be comfortable working with your hands
- Ability to lift and move equipment and parts
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work safely and follow directions
