Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Nurse with Michigan licensure for a rural hospital setting. The ideal candidate will provide acute care across diverse patient populations, ensuring prompt, high-quality emergency services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions including stroke, trauma, and cardiac arrest.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, blood products, and ventilated patients while administering IV sedation, vasopressors, and procedural sedation.
• Perform blood draws, IV starts, central line care, and invasive procedures adhering to safety and protocol standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care, including mental health evaluations and trauma management.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory policies.
• Maintain infection control protocols and isolation precautions to prevent nosocomial infections.

Qualifications:

• Current MI RN license in hand; pending licenses acceptable.
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience in emergency or critical care settings.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and TNCC certifications required.
• Proven competence in interpreting ABGs, managing trauma, and handling pediatric and adult emergency cases.
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system.
• Ability to work every other weekend and float to other units as needed.
