About the Role
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our expansion into new sales channels and untapped market segments. Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, you'll own the growth agenda end to end: balancing new client acquisition with the expansion of existing accounts, while leading and developing a team of 4–10. This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives on building strategy and executing it hands-on. Occasional travel is required to develop strategic relationships and pursue new opportunities.
What You'll Do
Design and execute go-to-market strategies to break into new sales channels and market segments
Lead, coach, and grow a business development team of 4–10, setting clear targets and holding the team accountable to them
Identify, prioritize, and cultivate relationships with high-value prospects and strategic partners
Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation and close
Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, operations) to align sales efforts with company objectives
Track market trends and competitive dynamics, translating insights into actionable strategy
Grow revenue within existing accounts through upsell and expansion
Report progress, pipeline health, and market insights directly to the CEO/Founder
Represent the company at industry events and client meetings, traveling occasionally as needed
What You'll Bring (Required)
5+ years in business development, sales, or a closely related role, with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets
Demonstrated experience opening new channels or market segments
Experience leading or mentoring a team
Strong networking, communication, and negotiation skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to turn market data into strategy
Comfort managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Nice to Have (Preferred)
Master's degree in Business or an MBA
Formal experience in sales strategy, market research, and lead generation
Familiarity with CRM and sales analytics tools
