Job Description

We are assembling a small team of fiber splicers to work on residential neighborhoods, focusing on both routine splicing and emergency or outage response. The team, typically 2-5 members, will tackle projects involving mixed residential networks. Truck, trailer, and all necessary splicing equipment are provided, with production-based pay. Occasional day travel and some out-of-town projects may be required, though overnight stays are infrequent.

Responsibilities

Perform fiber splicing in residential neighborhoods
Respond to emergency and outage-related fiber repairs (under 25% of work)
Operate and maintain splicing equipment and tools
Collaborate effectively within a small team of 2-5 members
Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines
Conduct OTDR testing and troubleshooting as needed
Travel occasionally to out-of-town job sites

Required Qualifications

Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in fiber splicing
Knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques
Proficiency with OTDR testing and troubleshooting
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Effective time management abilities
