Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – ER in Lancaster, Ohio, starting 09/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a night shift (3x12) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in a Short Term Acute Care setting providing emergency care. This is a travel - temporary assignment with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each ER patient using the nursing process; adapt plans as patient needs change.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor responses, and document accurately and legibly.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and care team; provide timely escalation when needed.
- Educate patients and families from admission to discharge, including discharge instructions and safety considerations.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functioning; report malfunctions and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Provide direction and supervision of co-workers as appropriate, delegating tasks consistent with scope of practice and policy.

Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- CPR certification (CPR required)
- Previous nursing experience preferred; ER/acute care experience is advantageous
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced ER setting; strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Demonstrated patient- and family-centered care, with good documentation and teamwork
