Accounting & Finance Specialist

A growing and dynamic organization in the lubricants and logistics industry is seeking a motivated Accounting & Finance Specialist who is eager to learn, grow, and make an impact. We are especially interested in candidates with SAP experience and a strong understanding of accounting operations, financial controls, and business processes.

Key Responsibilities Financial & Accounting Operations

• Document and manage financial transactions accurately and efficiently
• Prepare monthly balance sheet uploads and supporting financial documentation
• Maintain accounting controls and support process improvement initiatives
• Review and process supplier invoices and generate customer invoices
• Prepare and process payments, reimbursements, taxes, licenses, and permits
• Partner directly with external accounting/tax firms on all tax-related matters
• Maintain current reseller permits and business compliance documentation
• Set up and maintain supplier records
• Manage bank accounts and company credit card accounts
• Submit employee travel and expense reports to corporate finance teams
• Monitor expenses and support budgeting activities
• Maintain organized electronic accounting records and shared files

General Administration & Operational Support

• Ensure smooth internal communication and information flow
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulations
• Prepare forms, reports, and operational documents as needed
• Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Provide backup support to the Finance Director when necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Industry experience in oil & gas, lubricants, transportation, or logistics preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, controls, and financial processes
• Experience with:
  • SAP (highly preferred)
  • OneStream
  • Power BI / Omni Analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills (Macabacus experience a plus)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and deadline management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Spanish language skills are a strong plus
