Essential Details Shift: Third Shift (6:00 PM – until completion) Schedule: Monday through Friday; occasional weekends and holidays may be required. Schedule is subject to change based on warehouse volume and operational needs. Department: Grocery / Dry Goods Location: 1500 Brooks Ave, Rochester, NY Competitive Salary: $64,000 Requirement: A valid driver’s license is required for this role. What You’ll Own You’ll lead unloading operations, direct your team, and ensure every shift runs safely, efficiently, and on time. Direct daily warehouse operations and unloading activities. Assign work, manage workflows, and ensure timely completion of all loads. Lead, coach, and develop associates, leads, and backup leads. Drive hiring, promotions, and performance management decisions. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of daily operational activity. Partner with operations leadership, customers, and transportation teams. Maintain compliance with all FHI policies, procedures, and safety standards. How You’ll Make an Impact Improve retention and reduce turnover year over year. Strengthen safety performance and reduce DART rates. Meet or exceed contribution margin and operating income targets. Maintain or improve workers’ compensation and direct labor costs. Conduct safety inspections and enforce safe work practices. Ensure clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas. Verify load accuracy and completion. Oversee timekeeping, audits, and approvals. Train and mentor team members to build bench strength. What You Bring Experience in warehouse, distribution, or unloading operations. 1+ years of leadership experience (preferred). Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage people, production, and priorities simultaneously. Basic math and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license.
