Associate Attorney

DescriptionWe are looking for an Associate Attorney to join a reputable law firm in New York, New York, supporting a broad litigation practice across several complex areas. This opportunity is well suited for an early-career attorney who is ready to take an active role in case strategy, courtroom advocacy, and written motion practice. The role offers close collaboration with senior attorneys while providing meaningful responsibility in managing litigation matters from discovery through dispositive motion work.Responsibilities:• Represent clients in court proceedings and participate in depositions as part of ongoing litigation matters.• Prepare a range of legal filings, including pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents with accuracy and strong legal analysis.• Manage discovery activities by drafting requests, evaluating opposing party responses, and organizing document review summaries.• Conduct legal research to support case development, motion drafting, and litigation strategy.• Partner with attorneys and firm leadership on assignments requiring coordinated analysis, case preparation, and deadline management.• Assist in developing case positions by applying procedural rules and relevant law to active disputes.Requirements• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.• Active admission to practice law in New York and New Jersey.• At least 1 year and up to 6 years of litigation experience.• Prior experience appearing in court and handling depositions.• Demonstrated ability to draft summary judgment motions and other dispositive applications.• Working knowledge of federal and state civil procedure rules.• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to confidential matters.Job typePerm
