Position: CNC Programmer
Type: Full-Time, 1st shift
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency with MasterCam and/or NX
- Experience in using Solid Works is desired
- Ability to read engineering prints and design documentation, including the ability to understand GD&T
- Develop work-holding fixtures and select cutting tools
- Must have ability to adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and operating sequences as needed and analyze G code
- Specify perishable tooling and capable fixturing while applying continuous improvements to the manufacturing process.
- Must have advanced knowledge of metal cutting as well as the ability to select and recommend test tooling
- Multi-Axis and Multi-Spindle experience a plus
- Integrate work with the Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Scheduling Department to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory.
- An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering
- Must have excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
- Familiarity with the latest technologies and equipment used in manufacturing processes
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience using: NX, Unigraphics and SolidWorks Software, Mastercam
- Knowledge of raw materials
- Knowledge of mathematics: algebra, geometry, calculus and geometry
- Team leading ability
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage one’s time and time of the team
- Ability to detect problems
- Background of science, technology, engineering and mathematics
- While performing duties for this job, it’s required to alternate between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, visual acuity, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
- Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor.
- Possible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles.
- Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials.
- Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
- Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 40 lbs.
- May require local travel
