Staff Accountant (Part Time, 25 hours a week)
Location: Princeton, NJ

What's This Position About?
This position is for someone looking to grow into additional accounting responsibilities in conjunction with firm growth. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and takes pride in their analytic and reconciliation skills.
What You'll Be Doing:
Work closely with management to achieve outcomes based on company goals
Manage adherence to firm purchase order process, including ensuring appropriate approval and documentation
Maintain all accounts payable, including ensuring timely payments and detailed review of invoices
Monitor and record credit card account transactions including charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, etc.
Update General Ledger daily for all expense transactions to ensure adherence to timely monthly reporting and detailed firm categorization
Process Payroll bi-monthly, collaborating with HR department
Ensure compliance for all vendor W9 files, and coordinate 1099 filings annually
Maintain petty cash accounts with log and documentation of all disbursements
Communicate with clients about accounts receivable and questions
Post daily deposits
Post all expense transactions in accounting system, and reconcile all credit card and bank accounts monthly
Assist in month-end and annual close and journal entries
Assist in Finance Department special projects and reporting
Qualifications
What Makes You a Great Candidate
You have…
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related Business specialty
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
1 – 3 years relevant experience
Experience with accounting software, NetSuite experience preferred but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets
