Cloud Data Architect Data Science/Big Data

This role is ideal for a seasoned data professional with extensive experience designing and managing cloud-based data solutions within a complex enterprise environment. The position involves leading the architecture, development, and optimization of business intelligence structures, leveraging AWS services and modern data modeling techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and architects complex data schemas, repositories, and metadata structures to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Configures database parameters, allocates resources, and ensures data loaded into systems is accurate and reliable.
• Leads troubleshooting efforts for database applications, analyzing data requirements, and maintaining application and schema architectures.
• Establishes data integrity and quality standards, monitoring overall data health and consistency.
• Develops and optimizes data analytic models, ad-hoc queries, and reports for management and audit purposes.
• Implements software testing, including unit testing, ETL validation, and scripting for moderate complexity.
• Collaborates within an Agile team to develop capabilities for data reporting, dashboards, governance, and data sharing.
• Develops conceptual, logical, and physical IT designs aligned with business needs and technical infrastructure.
• Analyzes business requirements to ensure technical solutions are traceable to organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of relevant work experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Broad knowledge of SQL, data warehouses, relational databases, and data analytic techniques.
• Experience with AWS core services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, and related tools.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
• Strong programming skills in Java EE/Cloud technologies, including Java Lambdas, Streams API, and Java functional programming.
• Familiarity with Python or Scala.
• Good understanding of AWS Identity and Access Management, Networking, and Monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications related to AWS or Data Architecture.
• Knowledge of data tools such as Workday Adaptive & Prism, and Ariba.
