Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients in the non-profit industry looking to fill a Staff Accountant job for the corporate office located in Oakland, CA. This job is hybrid and will be required to work in-office 1 day a week. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of accounting experience. This position will report to the Controller and be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly or annual government contract invoices, verify contract specific cost allocations and review GL coding for accuracy, process entries to record revenue in the accounting system, reconcile balances to the GL monthly, update contract tracking worksheet, provide support for the preparation of monthly overhead allocation tables, support the preparation of the monthly schedule of net assets, assist on projects as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance required Strong accounting knowledge knowing your debits and credits Team player, proactive, and able to work independently Non-profit industry experience would be a big plus Dedicated, reliable, and quick to learn Attention to detail, problem-solver, and organized Strong communications (written & verbal) Software experience with a medium to large ERP system preferred (MIP & Concur) Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook & Excel – Intermediate to Advanced) Experience: 2 year of accounting experience (Staff Accountant, Accounting Specialist, Accounting Assistant) Employment Type: Temp to Perm Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour Search managed by: Flynn Woodworth Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
