Job Overview RN, Rapid Response Team – 5k Bonus Nights (2600007R). Three 12‑hour shifts per week, 7 p‑7 a, with some weekend coverage required. Job Summary Make a Life‑Saving Impact—Join UT Southwestern’s Rapid Response Team (RRT)! Bring advanced critical care expertise directly to the bedside. As an RRT nurse you’ll: Provide immediate, expert intervention for patients showing signs of clinical deterioration. Serve as a trusted resource for frontline staff across the hospital. Play a vital role in improving patient safety and outcomes hospital‑wide. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessment and develop individualized plans of care. Execute nursing interventions, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately and promptly. Coordinate interdisciplinary teams, communicate with patients and families, and provide education. Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed. Adhere to hospital policies, national standards, and the Professional Practice Model "Relationship Based Care". Qualifications Graduate of an approved or accredited nursing program. Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with 3+ years in ICU or strong Emergency Department experience strongly preferred. BSN preferred. Licenses and certifications: BLS & ACLS (AHA or ARC accredited), PALS, NIHSS. Specialty areas may require additional certification or licensing.
