Discover your exciting roleThe Senior Construction Manager is responsible for the execution of the construction phase of a project. Responsible for ensuring site safety is maintained according to the safety plan, maintaining the daily progress goals, ensuring installation quality is monitored during the entire construction period, and communicating to Project Managers. The Construction Manager must be ready to take on unique challenges daily, with the responsibility of keeping a project on schedule and on budget. Acts as the Company’s representative when dealing with vendors, subcontractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders.Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesChampions Safety, Quality, Regulatory Compliance and The Collaborative WayResponsible for communicating and upholding safety culture and safety policies and procedures throughout the projectAssists Pre-construction with estimating and pre-construction services and other duties as assigned by the Procurement and Construction DirectorsWorks with Procurement in scope of work development and the solicitation and pre-qualification of Subcontractors and Suppliers.Responsible for all technical evaluations of bid proposals and overall scope ownershipPrepares and manages construction schedule and daily planning of workBe intimately familiar with Subcontractor scope of work, Subcontract agreements, and design drawings, for the ownership of construction execution on time and within budgetResponsible for subcontract pay applications reviews and approvalsCoordinates with Quality Control and Document Control to ensure the timely review and processing of, shop drawings and required submittals in a timely mannerCoordinates submittals and RFI’s with Field Engineer or responsible design professionalsCoordinates, communicates, and documents changes in scope of work. Responsible for capturing and communicating any schedule, quality, or cost associated with changesCoordinates with the Superintendents and Quality Control all required testing and documentation is planned and completed correctlyEnsures Quality is upheld daily, and punch lists are generated and completed in a timely mannerDevelops and maintains continuous positive relationships with the Client and their representativesMonitors the training of all Construction staff Promotes positive staff morale, professionalism, and attitude, and assists to resolve potential deficiencies when identified or perceivedParticipates in continuous improvement plans as directed and/or through proactive application of personal expertiseMaintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of the company’s project processes, procedures, and policies and is responsible for enforcing the use and conformance thereofEnsures that Project Controls are maintaining the Contract Documents.
