Maintenance mechanic

Seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to support daily facility operations and equipment reliability. You will execute preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and perform emergency repairs to ensure minimal downtime across production lines and facility infrastructure.

salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) routines on machinery, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical failures.
• Repair or replace defective components, including motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and belts.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls during production runs to restore operating conditions safely.
• Document maintenance logs, work orders, and parts inventory using computer system software.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and internal safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with production operators and engineering teams to implement machinery upgrades and process optimizations.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• working knowledge of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V).
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic shop equipment (welding/fabrication skills a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights (ladders/scaffolding), and stand for extended periods.
