Senior Software Engineer, Integrations

Role Description

As an Engineer at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks such as GoLang, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka and various data stores (Snowflake, TiDB/TiKV, RocksDB and more).

What You'll Be Doing:

• Be a significant individual contributor and key asset in delivering critical projects that ultimately bring value to our customers.
• Mentor the team and lead by example to uphold software development best-practices in addition to conducting rigorous code and tech spec reviews.
• Play a key role in consistently advising the team on pragmatic technical approaches to problems that encourage engineering excellence and developer happiness.
• Plan ahead by strategically architecting scalable web APIs, component libraries and backend systems that serve the team roadmap goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and other senior engineers across the organization to identify and solve technical challenges that drive impact across teams.
• Advise teams on technical debt consolidation in ways that efficiently service our business needs.
• Identify bottlenecks and general system-wide performance issues and offer actionable solutions to address them.
• Conduct technical interviews to attract and identify potential high performing candidates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable backend systems.
• Knowledge of our full-stack technologies including GoLang, AWS, Kubernetes and Kafka.
• Prior experience in ad tech is an asset.
• Extensive experience writing code with unit tests and end-to-end tests.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences.
• Experience working with large data sets.
• An appetite for using AI as a tool to help in unpacking complexity and simplifying it wherever possible.

Compensation

The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in the posting country based on a global rate. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location.

We do not ask candidates about current or prior salary history, and we will not use such information, if volunteered, in setting an offer.

This range represents base salary only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Factors Influencing Final Compensation:

• The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.
• Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer.

Base Salary Band

$170,400 — $234,300 CAD
