The role strategically positions the organization in deals, shapes requirements, and directs virtual teams for geographic business development. The role also champions compelling rationales for services, educates stakeholders, and develops pursuit strategies for efficient sales cycles.Responsibilities• Nurtures client relationships over extended deal cycles, consistently reinforcing the organization’s credibility through adept persuasion and educational interactions.• Positions the organization early in deals to guide client strategy and shape deal requirements to align with organizational strengths, potentially leading to sole-source engagements.• Directs and oversees a virtual team across the geographic area, driving business development initiatives, providing regular progress updates on growth, and fostering collaboration.• Develops and champions the compelling rationale for the organization’s services, securing successful engagements through thorough case analysis and presentation.• Educates and engages with various stakeholders to effectively communicate business solutions, address deal challenges, and ensure cohesive RFP/RFI responses.• Develops pursuit strategies to steer account teams through lengthy sales cycles, enabling efficient pursuit activities.• Evaluates opportunities and qualifies them for active pursuit based on their potential success probability and the intelligent allocation of resources.• Contributes innovative ideas and may lead large cross-functional teams, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.• Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise, developing strategy and setting functional policy and direction.• Provides mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees, thus ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in services or solutions business, sales, business development, engagement, or a related field.Preferred Certifications• Project Management Professional Certification• Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP)Knowledge & Skills• Auditing• Automation• Bid Management• Business Development• Business Strategies• Finance• Marketing• Microsoft SharePoint• Process Improvement• Procurement• Project Management• Proofreading• Proposal Development• Proposal Management• Proposal Writing• Request For Proposal• Risk Management• Salesforce• Templates• Value PropositionsThe pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
