Purchasing Manager
Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 Base, plus Bonus, Benefits on day 1
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager that will be responsible for managing and directing all aspects of purchasing/procurement and related functions. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for being hands-on in all day-to-day purchasing activities and serve as the strategic leader for this department of the organization. As a strategic leader, you will also be responsible for collaborating with the Operations Director to design and implement improved processes and/or operational policies.
Responsibilities: Purchasing Manager
- Responsible for partnering with all business segments to provide subject matter expertise in strategic sourcing, and category management of direct materials to achieve goals and improve performance
- Manage purchasing efforts for a $200 million dollar company
- Run the corporate operations to proactively give strategic advice to other key leaders in the organization
- Lead, develop and implement strong processes for Strategic Sourcing and Category Management
- Partner with business segment leadership teams to resolve unique challenges and leverage opportunities.
- Coordinate and align sourcing functional and business segment activities to ensure maximization of efforts related to value creation at the corporate level
- Develop and implement best practices processes and management systems to drive Strategic Sourcing and Supplier relationship management
- Develop benchmarks and balanced scorecards to drive operational performance and leverage to drive continuous improvement
- Run cooperative sourcing to align supplier costs to market (with appropriately accounting for regional and volume impacts)
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and performance
- Ensure the organization is fully staffed and skilled to meet both long terms strategic and close in operational goals as aligned with our client and the business segments
Requirements: Purchasing Manager
- BS/BA Degree (Experience may substitute for Education)
- 4+ years of related purchasing experience
