As a Commodity Trading & Value Chain Optimization Senior Consultant, you will help clients improve performance across trading, logistics, and adjacent operations. We combine industry knowledge, operational experience, and analytical insight to help organizations improve performance and execution.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or Economics4+ years of experience in commodity trading, value chain optimization, operations, supply chain, or consultingExperience across downstream oil and gas functions, including refining, shipping, storage, marketing, or commodity trading operationsExperience across the commodity trade lifecycle, including deal capture, scheduling or nomination, pricing, settlements, or market or credit risk exposureExperience creating analyses, presentations, or financial models used to quantify business valueAbility to travel 75%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.Preferred:Experience with financial modeling to quantify value and business benefitsExperience using data, analytics, or artificial intelligence in commercial or operational optimizationExperience with commodity trading and risk management or energy trading and risk management platforms, including ION Endur or Openlink, Allegro, RightAngle, Eka, TriplePoint, or SAP Commodity ManagementExperience with one or more commodity markets, including power, natural gas, crude oil, refined products, liquefied natural gas, metals, or agricultureExperience working in a consulting or advisory environmentThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
