SUMMARY OF POSITION: As a Hardware Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate scheduling of jobs and personnel to support customer deliveries. Ability to operate all equipment in the hardware area proficiently. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operations, such as installation of helicoils, keenserts captive screws, pem nuts/studs, tang breaking/removal, post anodize polishing, cutting mylar masks. Studies inspection reports or measures dimensions of the finished product to verify conformance to specifications, using calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments. Inspects required tooling to detect defective tools and directs repair or replacement of defective tooling. Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to. Support and conduct on the job training for new team members. Execute assigned work as per instructions. Coach team members to complete tasks based on quality standards. Perform administrative duties such as regular employee meetings, timekeeping/attendance/vacation requests, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, interviewing, training and development. Manage production to target levels. Provide feedback to ensure parts are moved through the hardware area in a timely manner. Help identify and resolve production problems related to hardware. Manage shift personnel including breaks and lunches. Support and drive lean principles in the hardware area. Maintain safe operating environment. Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School. 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred in a Manufacturing environment. Enrolled in vocational education for machine technology or practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T preferred. Knowledge of ERP/MRP System. Quality Assurance experience & knowledge of GMP required. Ability to speak English and Spanish languages preferred. Ability to read blueprints and routers.
