Welder / Fabrication Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Monday–Friday | Business Hours Work Environment: 100% Onsite

Position Overview

The Welder / Fabrication Technician is responsible for evaluating, fabricating, modifying, and repairing automotive assets and organizational equipment. This position performs a variety of welding and metal fabrication tasks on light- and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding repairs and modifications on light-duty, heavy-duty, on-road, and off-road vehicles and equipment.
• Fabricate and modify automotive components and equipment to meet operational needs.
• Evaluate materials and supplies required to safely complete repair and fabrication projects.
• Perform equipment upfits and custom modifications as assigned.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and shop machinery in safe working condition.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Experience performing MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding processes.
• Experience with metal fabrication, repair, and modification.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and proper use of shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to lift materials and work in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience welding and repairing automotive or heavy equipment.
• Experience with fabrication and custom equipment modifications.
• Experience operating shop tools and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
