Part Time Pharmacist - Sterile Products Focused (Downtown)

Job Summary This position will primarily provide focused activities within our sterile products laboratory at the Downtown Campus. It collaborates with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to oversee sterile product medication therapies. Responsibilities Medication preparation and validation (including standard and hazardous/chemotherapy preparations). Utilization of IV lab technologies. Maintain specific sterile products training and validation. Correspondence with pharmacy/hospital staff about patient care needs related to sterile product compounding. Interpret medication orders and prescriptions to ensure they are complete, safe, rational, and compatible with institutional policy. Prepare injectable sterile products and non‑sterile compounds for inpatient and ambulatory care use. Perform duties in various practice locations, including inpatient, emergency departments, ambulatory care clinics, and transitions of care settings. Provide drug monitoring services, maintain pharmacy records according to law and institutional policy, interpret policy and procedures for hospital staff. Participate in teaching programs for the department and hospital staff, and in the department’s quality assurance programs. Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D and NYS Pharmacist license and registration (or eligible). Candidate with NYS pharmacist limited permit must obtain license within 1 year of appointment. Preferred Qualifications Previous hospital experience. Dedicated sterile products pharmacy experience. Work Days Part‑time (70% time). Rotating shifts: Days, evenings, weekends & holidays (occasional nights as needed). #J-18808-Ljbffr
