Media Strategy Associate

Our client, a growing agency is seeking a Media Strategy Associate for a freelance role. This is a remote flexible position 40 hours a week through September with potential to extend. Must be US based and able to work EST time zone. This role supports the planning, execution, and ongoing management of digital media campaigns. This person partners closely with internal teams, clients, and media vendors to keep projects moving, maintain accurate campaign details, and help deliver thoughtful media recommendations. The role is best suited for someone who is organized, proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day development, execution, and maintenance of digital media plans and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal activation teams and external partners to ensure campaigns launch and run properly.
• Prepare and manage media documents such as RFPs, plans, presentations, insertion orders, and campaign records.
• Review campaign performance, reporting, and competitive activity to help inform future recommendations.
• Assist with partner communication, proposal evaluation, and negotiation support.
• Manage trafficking details, tracking setup, QA, launch checks, and post-launch documentation.
• Contribute to digital and social media strategy, including identifying cross-channel opportunities.
• Provide regular status updates and flag issues or delays when needed.

Core Requirements

• 2-4 years of media planning experience, with a strong emphasis on digital and social.
• Strong media channel experience across video, linear, OTT, social or programmatic
• Understanding of media metrics, planning terminology, and research or analytics tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and organization.
• Experience working with presentations, reporting, and client-facing communication.
• Professional judgment, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative working style.
• Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
