divh2Hospital Specimen Technician/h2pOur client, a medical research company, is looking for a hospital specimen technician for their Chicago, IL location./ppResponsibilities:/pulliDemonstrates excellent proficiency in test ordering policies, hospital processing procedures, specimen requirements for test ordering, sample preparation, quantum, and compliance/legal requirements./liliKnowledge and competency of hospital LIS system (client specific)/liliPrint client performed testing reports/liliDemonstrates ability to interpret specimen flow/tracking data utilizing all available reports and resources/liliResponsible for supply ordering processes./liliPerforms remote accessioning (pre-accessioning), (client specific)/liliProblem Resolution Responsibilities/liliTroubleshoot and problem resolution for specimen types, missing information, TIQ, TNP, additional sample requests, and other client issues related to area of responsibility./liliClient Job Description Template (2021) v2021/liliCustomer Service Responsibilities/liliDemonstrates exceptional customer service skills as the liaison between customer client performing laboratory to provide pro-active customer support./liliResponsible for managing inbound calls with a positive client interaction./liliCommunicates and collaborates effectively with the hospital laboratory staff, as well as the client sales team and other functions in the organization./liliCommunicates effectively information regarding problem-solving with specimens, test cancellations, testing requirements, billing requirements with various hospital staff./li/ulpRequirements:/pulli1 3 years of working experience/liliMedical background preferred, which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory/liliPrevious experience in a hospital laboratory environment preferred/liliHandles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment./liliHospital LIS Systems knowledge or experience a plus/liliCommand of Microsoft Office Suite/liliClient interfacing role requiring strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills/liliThe position requires demonstrated data entry skills to effectively utilize both the client diagnostics system and the hospital client systems./liliMaintains composure while working under pressure./liliReflects good judgment when determining what action to take when resolving problems./liliDemonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment./liliDemonstrates flexibility and ability to adapt to change./liliHigh School Diploma/equivalent is required/li/ulpWhy Should You Apply?/pulliHealth benefits/liliReferral program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an equal opportunity employer.
