What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities using formal and informal assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Implement treatment protocols including exercises, modalities, and education
• Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students as appropriate
• Educate patients and families about pathology, prognosis, and treatment options
• Document treatment activities and patient responses in compliance with policies
• Coordinate treatment schedules with patients and interdisciplinary team members
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assist in securing necessary devices
• Participate in team meetings, community education, and program development
• Promote occupational therapy services and foster professional growth within the organization

What You Need

• Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan
• Relevant certification (CPR)
• Prior outpatient experience preferred but not required; new grads are welcome
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle physical demands including moving and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to work independently and compassionately with diverse patient populations
