Senior Food Scientist

We are recruiting for a Senior Food Scientist at a growing gluten-free and allergen-controlled snack manufacturer. This is a hands-on role owning product development from concept through commercialization, split between the R&D lab and the production floor.

You will lead formulation, bench sample development, customer collaboration, plant trials, shelf-life studies, and production start-ups. This role reports directly to the CEO and currently has one direct report, with the opportunity to add another.

What you'll do:

• Own product development from concept through commercialization
• Develop formulations and bench samples
• Collaborate directly with customers on product development
• Lead plant trials and production start-ups
• Conduct shelf-life studies
• Split time between the R&D lab and the production floor

What you need:

• 5-7+ years of food science or product development experience
• Salty snack product development experience preferred, such as tortilla chips, crackers, popcorn, extruded snacks, puffs, or pellet snacks
• Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field
• Strong commercialization and plant-trial experience

Schedule: Full time, onsite.
