About the Role

We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Skilled Trades Staffing Recruiter to source, screen, and place qualified tradespeople with our client companies. You'll work across a fast-paced pipeline of welders, maintenance technicians, mechanics, machinists, and other skilled labor roles — connecting talented workers with businesses that need them, often on short timelines. This is a high-activity, high-reward role for someone who thrives on building relationships, solving problems quickly, and hitting placement goals.

What You'll Do

• Source candidates through job boards, trade schools, union halls, apprenticeship programs, referrals, social media, and networking events
• Screen resumes and conduct phone/in-person interviews to assess technical skills, certifications, work history, and job fit
• Verify licenses, certifications (OSHA, welding certs, EPA, journeyman/master status, etc.) and safety records
• Match candidates to open orders based on client requirements, skill level, and availability
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of pre-qualified, ready-to-deploy trades talent
• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle: sourcing, screening, offer, onboarding, and check-ins during assignments
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand staffing needs, workplace culture, and job-site requirements
• Coordinate drug screens, background checks, and safety orientations as required
• Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, fill rate, retention) and report on pipeline health
• Resolve issues quickly — no-shows, client concerns, or worksite conflicts — to keep placements on track
• Stay current on labor market trends, prevailing wages, and licensing requirements in your region

What You'll Need

• 1+ years of recruiting experience (staffing agency or high-volume recruiting strongly preferred); skilled trades experience is a big plus
• Familiarity with trade certifications, apprenticeship pathways, and union vs. non-union work environments
• Strong sourcing skills across job boards (Indeed, ZipRecruiter), social media, and grassroots networking
• Excellent communication skills — comfortable talking to tradespeople, hiring managers, and site supervisors alike
• Ability to manage multiple open orders and move fast under deadline pressure
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using an ATS/CRM to track candidates and orders
• A results-driven mindset with a track record of hitting fill and placement targets
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for occasional job-site visits)

Nice to Have

• Background in construction, manufacturing, or a trade yourself
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in many markets
