CNC Machinist

Job Roles and Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures. Load raw materials and verify machine setup before production runs. Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet specifications. Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Document inspection results and production records accurately. Troubleshoot minor machine, tooling, and production issues. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve quality or production concerns. Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities. Follow safety procedures, 5S standards, and lean manufacturing practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. Qualifications and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational machining training preferred. Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience operating and setting up CNC machines. Knowledge of machining and milling processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic understanding of CNC controls and G-code. Ability to troubleshoot minor machine and tooling issues. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
