Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a Physician Assistant - Pre-Anesthesia  to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University  to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient history and physical exams.
• Order and review labs, EKGs, imaging, and other pre-procedural testing.
• Perform medication reconciliation and make appropriate medication adjustments.
• Identify clinical concerns and coordinate specialist consultations, medical optimization, and pre-procedural clearance.
• Provide patient education, prescriptions, and pre-procedure instructions while coordinating interpreter services, as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team while supporting quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Physician Assistant NYS registration
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• DEA Certification

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836*based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure. 

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**,  which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
