Job Title: Machinist II

II-1st shift $22.75

II-2nd shift $23.75

Location: San Diego, CA 92121

Duration: Temp to Hire

$200 Weekly Bonus

What You Will Experience in This Position

In this role, you will:

Perform all work in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and drawing specifications with minimal supervision

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through inspections and testing

Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection tools

Learn and assist with machine set-ups

Identify and report minor machine issues

Conduct operational checks to ensure tools, fixtures, and equipment are functioning properly

Work in a physically active manufacturing environment requiring frequent lifting and movement of up to 50 lbs

Perform repetitive motions including standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions and complete documentation

Minimum 1 year of experience operating Vertical and/or Horizontal CNC Milling Machines

Basic knowledge of Mastercam and SolidWorks

Working knowledge of Haas and Fanuc CNC machine controls

Understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming

Ability to troubleshoot process issues and respond effectively to unplanned production situations

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and assist with training and problem-solving

Preferred Skills

CNC machine setup experience

Strong attention to detail and quality

Experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment

Ability to work independently and within a team
