As the Property Accountant, you will:
- Perform full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of properties
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze financial results
- Partner with property managers and ownership groups to resolve accounting issues and answer financial questions
- Support onboarding of new properties and process improvement initiatives
Ideal candidates for this Property Accountant role will have:
- 2+ years of property accounting experience
- Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close
- Experience working with multiple properties and managing competing deadlines
- Yardi or similar property management software experience preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
