Job Summary
ISH Dining Services is seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our team! As a key member of our food service staff, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious meals to our residents, employees, and visitors. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for residents, employees, and visitors
Follow recipes and cooking schedules to meet mealtime schedules
Perform related duties and cleaning duties as assigned
Direct other food service employees in the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director
Handle and prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations
Prepare palatable and appetizing meals, as prescribed for the residents by the attending physician
Meet required meal schedules
Properly care for dietary equipment and production sheets
Follow menus and special diet instructions
Communicate freely with the Food Service Director
Cooperate with other food service staff and facility personnel
Ensure that residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare field and/or related industry
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment
Maintain utmost compassion and dignity to the residents
Ability to work rotating weekends, as well as holiday and as needed, to ensure proper staffing levels
Physical and Sensory Requirements
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination
Compensation
$18 - $18 HOURLY
