• 50 bed unit specializing in critical care, emergent oncology care, and minor trauma care
• Unique collaboration with UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and designated Oncology ED for Southwestern UPMC region
• Comprehensive care for all patients available 24/7
• Primary stroke center
• 24-hour cardiac catheterization lab for STEMI cases
• Volume and acuity are variable and can change quickly, making the ED an extremely fast paced, unpredictable environment where rapid problem-solving and critical thinking are necessary to address evolving needs and priorities

• 1 year of RN experience required, prior ED experience preferred
• BSN preferred.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide care and interact with all ages of patients.

• Establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with patients and their families, executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, and other departments.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• UPMC approved national certification preferred
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
