Member Team Lead

Position Summary Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance to associates on member service approaches and techniques. Ensures member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines, compliance with company policies and procedures, and supports the Open Door Policy. Participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates. Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, encouraging membership renewals, and participating in sales and marketing events. Completes and maintains marketing recaps and other required documentation while striving to meet membership goals and promoting the value of Sam’s Club products and services. Member Service and Operations Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, providing guidance on self‑service technology, and assisting with transactions utilizing registers or self‑checkout areas. Ensures club pick‑up orders are filled. Oversees the assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, organizing and maintaining availability of carts, flatbeds, and assisting members with transporting items using cart retrieval equipment. Maintains parking lot cleanliness. Accounting and Finance Completes accounting records, file transactions, and other required documentation by following accounting office procedures. Provides funds for proper register operation, creates and interprets financial analysis reports, assists with accounting‑related investigations, prepares daily deposits, oversees Cash Fund Transfers, investigates overages and shortages in cash register drawers and accounting office, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information. Process Improvement and Compliance Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. Analyzes and applies information from multiple sources, monitors progress and results, and identifies and addresses improvement opportunities. Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Provides guidance on ethical and compliance issues and assists management in correcting them. Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools, determining customer needs and business priorities, and coordinating work assignments with feedback and support to ensure timelines and quality. Live Better U Education Benefit Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications 6 months of retail experience including operating front‑end equipment such as a cash register. 6 months of customer service experience. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a front‑end team and supervising, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
