The RoleWe are seeking a Program Manager with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and risk‑management skills to support successful customer program launches. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to plan and deliver complex programs in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate can balance independent work with collaboration and thrives in evolving, multi‑stakeholder ecosystems.The PersonAs a Program Manager, you will partner with cross‑functional teams to manage customer programs and portfolios, develop a strong understanding of customer platforms and solutions, and translate customer needs into clear, actionable plans. You will help align product solutions with customer platforms and support a positive customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine, plan, and manage projects and program plans with guidance from management and senior technical stakeholdersApply project management principles effectively across small to large, cross‑functional initiativesLead programs of technical and organizational significance that span multiple engineering and business teamsPartner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, or ways of workingCreate and maintain program artifacts such as schedules, resource plans and forecasts, risk and issue logsCommunicate project status clearly and consistently, helping teams understand dependencies and prioritiesIdentify risks and issues throughout the program lifecycle and work collaboratively to develop mitigation or action plansCollaborate with core and execution teams to surface concerns, escalate when appropriate, and support corrective actionsCollect, analyze, and share program performance data through dashboards and recurring status updatesPreferred ExperienceDetail‑oriented with a strong sense of accountability for shared outcomesStrong organizational, problem‑solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to build effective working relationships and contribute both independently and as part of a teamExperience involving team members in planning, decision‑making, and executionExperience mentoring, coaching, or influencing others is a plusComfort communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadersExperience working in matrixed or cross‑functional environmentsBackground in technical program management and customer or stakeholder relationship managementCollaborative approach to problem solving and risk mitigation with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units, Product Management, and external partnersExperience with project management and collaboration tools (such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms)Academic Credentials Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceFormal project management training or hands‑on experience; certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master are a plusThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-DP1#LI-HYBRIDBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
