Job Title: Sr. Technical Project/Program Manager

Duration: 5+ Months

Location: Austin, TX

Type: Remote

Pay range: $70.00 to $76.08 Hourly

Position Summary:

The Senior Technical Project/Program Manager leads large-scale strategic initiatives that drive organizational transformation, operational excellence, and business outcomes across multiple portfolios and delivery teams. This role serves as a key connector between executives, business leaders, engineering organizations, and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment, accountability, and successful execution of complex programs.

The position is responsible for developing program strategies, establishing governance frameworks, managing risks and dependencies, driving adoption of organizational change initiatives, and delivering executive-level insights that inform decision-making. The role requires strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills to successfully coordinate work across diverse stakeholder groups and evolving business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership & Execution
• Lead strategic, cross-functional programs from initiation through implementation and operationalization.
• Develop program roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and success metrics.
• Manage program scope, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate activities across multiple teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Stakeholder & Executive Management
• Partner with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable execution plans.
• Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and leadership reviews.
• Prepare executive communications, status reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Build strong relationships across business, technology, HR, communications, and operations teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor and point of coordination for complex initiatives.
• Organizational Change & Transformation
• Support enterprise transformation initiatives through planning, communication, and adoption management.
• Coordinate training, readiness, and change enablement activities.
• Monitor adoption metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with change management and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and engagement.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to accelerate organizational maturity and business value realization.
• Governance, Reporting & Analytics
• Establish and maintain program governance processes and reporting structures.
• Develop and manage executive dashboards, scorecards, trackers, and progress reporting mechanisms.
• Analyze program performance, risks, and trends to provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting artifacts.
• Drive transparency and accountability through regular program reviews.
• Team Enablement & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Facilitate collaboration among Portfolio Engineers, Delivery Stream Engineers, business leaders, and technical teams.
• Coordinate planning cycles, readiness activities, and resource alignment.
• Support teams with process improvements, documentation standards, and operational best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
• Ensure stakeholders have clear ownership, expectations, and action plans.

Job Requirements:

• Target Years of Exp: 3-5
• Top 5 Must Haves: Executive presence, stakeholder management, tactical project management (tracking, follow-ups, etc.), familiarity with Excel and MS suite, technical writing
• Qualifications:
• Extensive experience leading large-scale technical programs and strategic initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, governance, and risk management.
• Experience supporting organizational transformation, change management, and adoption initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
• Advanced proficiency with MS 365 tools, reporting solutions, collaboration platforms, and program management systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
