Facilities Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required. Education and Experience High school or tech school education and 3 years of factory related experience in a maintenance environment. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical (assist the facilities electrician), machine repair, plant layout, painting, and janitorial. Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, O.E.M. instructions and specifications. Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment consisting of HARCO employees and outside contractors. Required to use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks. Training Requirements Quality System Awareness. Physical Demands Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required. Lifting of objects up to 100 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment Safety Glasses required while performing certain tasks. Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. For this position, the base pay is set at $24.00/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work‑related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
