Day‑to‑Day Duties Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to secure the best value, quality, and delivery performance. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors, adhering to company procurement policies. Generate, track, and manage purchase orders; resolve discrepancies, delays, or back‑order issues. Collaborate with engineering, project management, and inventory teams to forecast material needs and support project timelines. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier performance metrics, and documentation of cost‑saving initiatives. Monitor market trends and industry developments to recommend strategic sourcing improvements. Ensure on‑time delivery of materials to job sites while complying with safety and regulatory standards. Conduct cost analysis, generate reports, and support budgeting and financial planning activities. Assist in updating purchasing policies, procedures, and best‑practice guidelines. Must‑Have Qualifications (Essential) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4–5 years of proven purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in electrical, construction, or related industrial environments. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management. Proficiency with ERP/purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
