Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,739–$1,837 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 8-hour shifts; evenings; potential 10s; occasional day or night Start date: 08/16/2026 Setting: Hospital laboratory travel assignment Location: Helena, Montana Licensure and credentialing: MT license required; ASCP or AMT credentialed (CLS or MLT) required Responsibilities Perform and review clinical laboratory tests across Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Chemistry with accurate results and timely reporting Prepare, process, and analyze specimens; conduct Gram stains and other microbiology techniques as part of routine panels Operate and maintain instrumentation (Siemens Aptio Line, Siemens Atellica, Sysmex XN9000, Sysmex UN3000 or Iris) and perform routine QC/maintenance as assigned Manage Blood Bank procedures and documentation, including compatibility testing and serious QC incidents, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards Enter and verify data in EMR systems (Epic and Sunquest Blood Bank) with attention to specimen labeling, results, and quality control documentation Collaborate with the laboratory team and other clinical staff; adhere to the rotating schedule and ensure coverage without floating outside the Lab Requirements Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (Medical Lab Technician/Technologist) required MT license required ASCP or AMT credentialed (CLS or MLT) required Experience with Epic and Sunquest Blood Bank EMR Proficiency with Siemens Aptio Line, Siemens Atellica, Sysmex XN9000, Sysmex UN3000 or Iris; Gel testing for Blood Bank and Micro setups Ability to work in a hospital laboratory setting with a rotating shift pattern and to perform Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Gram Stain duties as part of the assignment No floating outside the Lab; strong adherence to safety, quality control, and regulatory standards Benefits and Support Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment 24/7 assignment support from Healthforce personnel Support with credentialing and onboarding processes Transparent scheduling and guaranteed hours for the duration of the assignment Extension opportunities based on performance and department needs About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
