Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to identify and develop a high-potential CPA who can support the firm's tax and accounting operations while contributing to the long-term growth of the business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong tax background, enjoy working directly with clients, and demonstrate the drive and ambition to take on increasing leadership responsibilities.
In addition to preparing tax returns and supporting client needs, this individual will assist with staff management, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives. The successful candidate will be someone who values well-designed workflows, process standardization, and continuous improvement, helping the firm build scalable systems that support future growth. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting services for clients
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Provide financial guidance and tax planning strategies to clients
- Assist with the management, training, and development of staff
- Help improve internal processes and operational efficiency
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support business growth initiatives and long-term strategic planning
- Stay current on tax laws, accounting standards, and industry trends
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting services
- Experience working with small businesses and individual clients preferred
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
