Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – Travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date 10/25/2026 for a 13-week contract. Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the OR for specialties including ENT with airway management, neuro procedures (burr holes, craniotomy), and surgical oncology cases (robotics)
- Scrub and/or circulate for operative cases, maintaining a sterile field and preparing instruments, implants, and supplies
- Monitor patient condition intraoperatively; assist anesthesia with airway management, positioning, and patient safety
- Support advanced procedures, including robotics-assisted surgeries, and assist with specialized head/neck and soft tissue cases
- Prepare the OR for turnover, perform counts, document intraoperative events, and participate in post-anesthesia handoff
- May float to all ORs as needed and adapt to unit workflow during night shifts

Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or a Compact state
- AHA BLS certification
- Proficiency in ENT (trach/airways, head/neck flaps, ears, soft tissue cases), Neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), or surgical oncology (robotics)
- Not accepting new graduates
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts and to float to other OR areas as needed
- Credentials due one week prior to start; complete in-person orientation and EPIC training as scheduled
