Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant

Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle AR process, ensuring timely collections, accurate cash application, and strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of AR best practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to identify process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and collections Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to minimize past-due accounts Lead customer communication regarding billing discrepancies, payment status, and account resolution Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, providing insights and recommendations to management Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close activities Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and customer service teams to resolve billing issues Assist in developing and improving AR processes, controls, and efficiencies Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries Mentor and support junior AR staff as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 4+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience Strong understanding of AR processes, cash application, and collections strategies Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external relationships Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Collaborative and growth-oriented team environment Opportunities for career advancement and professional development Competitive compensation and benefits package #J-18808-Ljbffr Elevate Search LLC
