Machinist - Lathe Operator

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Set up and operate manual or CNC lathes to perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, and other machining operations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Select and install appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures. Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to ensure conformance to specifications. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines and ensure equipment is kept in good working condition. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company safety protocols and quality standards. Record production data and report any defects, malfunctions, or irregularities to supervisors. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of machining principles such as turning, facing, boring, threading, and drilling; be able to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances; demonstrate skill in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators; possess solid knowledge of cutting tools, materials, feeds, and speeds; and exhibit proficiency in basic math and computer literacy. #J-18808-Ljbffr Graetz Mfg., Inc.
