Registered Nurse CI

Main Purpose of Job A Registered Nurse, CI will provide general nursing including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care for a single shift to approximately 24 mentally ill patients. A Registered Nurse gives guidance to licensed practical nurses and direct care staff. This position may be assigned to any shift or unit to provide necessary coverage. All work is performed in accordance with established policy, procedures, and professional practices.

POSITION DUTIES

The RN CI position is responsible for an advanced level of care, which requires the consistent utilization of experience, education, judgment and technical skill of a professional nurse. The RN Charge is responsible for the assessing, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care service for a particular shift in a specific designated work area. All work is performed in accordance with established policy, procedures, and professional practices. The employee utilizes principles from the Recovery Model and Trauma‑Informed Care when interacting with and caring for patients/residents. Minimum Qualifications Education : Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. Experience : None. Desired Or Preferred Qualifications Experience with psychiatric patients/residents. Experience within a hospital setting.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi‑state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training. Special Requirements Employees in this classification are subject to call‑in and, therefore, will be required to provide the facility with a phone number at which they can be reached. Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs. Benefits
