Health Plan Sales, VP – REMOTE Job Description The Health Plan Sales, VP is responsible for new sales in the blue‑new and large health plan market segment, a key growth channel for Prime’s PBM business unit and the broader Prime enterprise. The VP will develop new business sales, execute strategies and tactics in territory planning, pre‑RFP prospecting and relationship development, proposal development, pricing development, and presentation delivery. The focus is on building relationships and strategies, collaborating with decision makers, and meeting sales targets, finalist meetings, number of groups won, and other key objectives. Responsibilities Build and foster relationships with consultants; conduct discovery meetings, and advance awareness of Prime’s value proposition. Collaborate with HPS Sales Development Managers and stakeholders through the end‑to‑end large bid selling process. Review RFPs qualitatively, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables, including executive summaries, finalist presentations, and capabilities. Develop dossiers (Bid‑at‑a‑Glance) or Client Status Reports, identifying strategies to win. Engage Prime’s senior leaders, subject matter experts, and competition intelligence to sharpen sales awareness and provide market feedback. Collaborate with marketing on sales campaigns, outreach, meet preparation, prospecting database integrity, event strategy, and KPI reporting. Work with business and functional leaders on proposals that manage profit, revenue, and gross margin. Identify gaps and lead special projects to improve effectiveness and implement best practices. Partner with legal counsel and cross‑functional stakeholders on contracting needs. Provide day‑to‑day direction, mentoring, and support to Sales Development Managers, lead staffing selection, and onboarding. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field, or equivalent education/work experience; HS diploma or GED required. 10+ years of B2B sales or sales support experience. Eligibility to work in the United States without visa/sponsorship. Additional Qualifications Excellent facilitation, presentation, and consultation skills; able to distill complex concepts into concise messages. Ability to evaluate opportunities and create effective selling messages, presentations, and proposals. Exceptional internal and external communication and relationship skills. Strong organizational, project management, and time‑management skills. Subject‑matter expertise in one or more industry areas. Business development acumen, critical thinking, and customer orientation. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in business or related field.
