Job Summary Applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of complex patients in a comprehensive manner. Recognizes complex learning needs and prepares individual teaching plans for patients/families and consistently demonstrates effective patient education to peers. Consistently ensures a comprehensive continuum of care plan in collaboration with the health care team. Demonstrates and role models effective communication and conflict resolution skills. Ensures evidence‑based care and continuously monitors patient outcomes. Floats across entities to fulfill requirements of the role. Key Responsibilities Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum. Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis. Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress toward goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment. Provides patient education. Qualifications Registered Nurse required. Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program (or equivalent experience). Minimum 1 year of recent PICU/PCICU experience; preferred 2 or more years. Licensed RN in the State of Tennessee. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Benefits Premium pay at $75/hr. Medical insurance benefits available through Temp Force Assignment. RNs typically work 36–40 hours per week based on unit needs. Optional health benefits. Assignment may necessitate working weekends and holidays.
