Overview At Treasureland Preschool, we believe young children deserve unhurried time, patient adults, and classrooms where curiosity is protected. We are a relationship-based, play-centered preschool serving children ages 2–5, and we are seeking a Lead Teacher who approaches early childhood with both warmth and intention. Our Pre-K classroom is a place where block towers are built and rebuilt, feelings are met with steady presence, and behavior is approached with curiosity rather than control. Our school day runs from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with teachers on site from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM. Role & Qualifications This is a co-lead teaching position in our Pre-K (4-year-old) classroom. The Lead Teacher will partner closely with a co-teacher to plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences rooted in play, inquiry, and Reggio-inspired practices. Responsibilities Co-planning and implementing meaningful, process-based classroom experiences Maintaining a safe, healthy, and well-prepared classroom environment Building strong relationships with children and families Observing and documenting children’s development Engaging in collaborative lesson planning and reflective practice Following all Colorado licensing requirements and school health and safety protocols Qualifications Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred (or actively working toward completion); PDIS Credential Level II or above Experience working in a licensed early childhood setting Confidence in curriculum planning and classroom leadership Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment A strong understanding of child development Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification Must clear full background check and pass health screening Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–2:00 PM, beginning August 2026. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $22–$25+ per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
