Assitant Controller

Assistant Controller – Elkhart, IN (Fully Onsite)
Salary: $100K–$120K + Bonus

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join a growing manufacturing organization in Elkhart, IN. This fully onsite role offers strong visibility within the organization and a clear succession path to VP of Finance within approximately two years for candidates open to relocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of daily accounting and finance operations
• Manage and participate in the full month-end close process, including financial reporting and reconciliations
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and operational performance metrics
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Ensure accuracy of cost accounting and maintain strong internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to improve financial processes and reporting
• Assist in driving process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing full month-end close responsibilities
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing cost details
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Self-starter with leadership potential and interest in long-term career growth
• Willingness to relocate in the future for advancement into a VP of Finance role
